Submissions
We welcome contributions from everyone – from all disciplines, cultures, and countries.
Anyone from across the world will be able to send across a 5-min video of their unreasonable idea. The video will be reviewed by a member of the staff (to ensure that it matches the minimum requirements) and will then be uploaded to the site. From that point onwards, visitors to the site will be able to see, rate, review as well as support the video and the ‘unreasonable’ idea.
Submit Your Video
Please read the guidelines below before submitting your video.
Submission Guidelines
Guidelines for the video:
Your video can be recorded at a live event (preferred), or can be recorded from the comfort of your home.
When recording a video specifically for Unreasonability,
- Ensure the video is less than 5 mins long; the ideal length is 4 mins. Videos longer than 5 mins cannot be accepted.
- Ensure that the idea is bold, audacious and unreasonable
- Please ensure a visually appealing or neutral setting. Your video will be shared with the world. You might want to make sure the background doesn’t detract or distract from your message. If you prefer, you can download a variety of Unreasonability themed backgrounds for your videos.
- Find a quiet corner/room to record the video. It will be very important that the audio comes through clearly. We strongly suggest using a microphone. Tip: record a small video and check sound quality before recording your final video.
- Ensure you have exclusive rights to the video. For example, talks recorded at other events might be copyrighted by the event organizers.
For recording video at a live event, or to organize an Unreasonability event in your college/city, please write to us. We can share detailed guidelines and collateral materials.
After you submit your video, and it has been approved, you will be able to add custom actions to your video, including creating a crowdfunding appeal, asking people to support your campaign, etc.
